Another way we are jump starting your networking is by bringing in some administrators that are using the techniques we have been discussing in their own leadership. Each will be creating a Group for your to join. You do not have to join all the groups-- just the topics which interest you.

I have lived, taught, and traveled on five continents and now live in Maine. I am the Instructional Technology Integrator at Yarmouth High School in Yarmouth, a 1:1 laptop environment. A 2011 semi-finalist for Maine Teacher of the Year, I am also a Google Certified Teacher, one third of the SEEDLings team, teach classes on incorporating technology into education for The Professional Development Center at The University of Southern Maine and provide workshops and professional development sessions to teachers during the year. http://www.google.com/ profiles/alicebarr

Jenny Luca

Jenny Luca is Head of Information Services atToorak College in Mt. Eliza (a suburb in Melbourne, Australia). She writes a blog called‘Lucacept - intercepting the Web’ and has presented at conferences in Australia and internationally. She is a member of a Reference Group informing the Australian Council of Educational Research (ACER) on the formation and running of the Digital Education Research Network (DERN). She recently won the Australian Council of Computers in Education Australasian Educational Media Award.

Carey Pohanka

Carey is a middle school French and Geography teacher at Fredericksburg Academy in Fredericksburg, VA. She also teaches ESOL to adults and officiates field hockey and lacrosse. She is currently working on her masters in Educational Technology at the University of Florida. Carey is passionate about teaching her middle schoolers to use technology safely and effectively and to collaborate in learning. She uses tools like blogs, VoiceThread and Google Apps for Education with her students to connect her students to the world. Carey has two teenage boys, Timmy and Jeffrey.
